Inauguration of Student Leaders 2022-23, 7th October, 2022

Good morning, teachers and students.

Our school has been putting much more emphasis on learning English recently, so I would like to use English for today’s speech.

Today, there is the inauguration of student leaders. Congratulations to you. God bless and be with you in the time ahead.

Being a leader, you need to earn your respect, and you earn it by way of your actions. Remember, respect from others comes not only from your position but also from your actions.

How? Try to serve with love. The Book of Ecclesiastes in the Holy Bible 9:10 also tells us to work hard at whatever you do. When you serve, you need to work hard at whatever you do.

Many people respect Queen Elizabeth II of the UK. When Elizabeth was 21 years old, she vowed to devote her life to service, and her actions spoke for themselves. The Queen appointed the new Prime Minister two days before the end of her life, and she served until she passed away.

In the Gospel of Mark 10:44-45, Jesus said, “and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” The best way to earn respect is to serve with love and work hard at whatever you do. Let’s follow our Lord Jesus Christ. This message is not only for the student leaders, but also for all of you, our Rhenishers.
