Our Form 5 Geography students participated in the ‘2nd Hong Kong Inter-Secondary School Geology Quest’ organized by HK Discovery and the Hong Kong Geological Society. The competition aimed to deepen students’ understanding of Hong Kong’s unique geology and overall geographical knowledge through a series of academic activities. Students visited geological hotspots in Hong Kong, promoting the importance of Earth science and geological education.
Our students formed two teams to participate in the competition, with the following members:
- Team One: 5A Fu Ho Lam, 5C Tang Yee Shek, 5C Lam Chun Yau
- Team Two: 5C Tu Sum Yi, 5C Tai Tsz Tung, 5C Wang An Xin
Both teams won gold awards, with Team One also securing the overall championship, showcasing outstanding performance. The students were deeply engaged in the competition process, enjoying the experience while applying and practicing their geological knowledge during field investigations, benefiting greatly from the opportunity. They were pleasantly surprised by the results, especially given the competition from traditional prestigious schools. Congratulations to the award-winning students!
