Our Science Team Achieves Remarkable Results in National and Local Competitions

Our S.2 Science Team participated in the ‘City I&T Grand Challenge’, organized by the Innovation and Technology Commission and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation during the summer. They won the Innovation Award in the junior high school division for their project titled ‘山系AIoT服務機器人系統’. The award-winning students are Lau Kin Chung (2A), Yam Hoi Nam (2A), Tse Man Lok (2B), Lam Tsz Huen (2B), and Feng Bobo (2E).

Additionally, the S.2 Science Team was recommended by the organizers to represent Hong Kong in the national large-scale STEM competition, the ‘19th Soong Ching Ling Children’s Invention Award’, in the junior high school creative project category. Over 400 teams from provincial competitions across the country participated. The students performed excellently, successfully ranking among the top 20 nationally and winning the Creative Project Award.

Meanwhile, the S.3 Science Team participated in the International Youth Tech Olympics 2024, organized by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong, Techbob Academy, the International Youth STEAM Education Association, the STEM EdTech Lab of PolyU CPCE, PRISTER Academy, Businesspro Service Limited, and Classroom. They won the first runner-up prize in the AI-IoT (Artificial Intelligence – Internet of Things) junior secondary school division. The Science Team embodies the spirit of scientific inquiry and creativity. We hope the students will continue to work hard and shine in their scientific pursuits.
